The monthly journal of the train drivers’ union ASLEF has published an appalling anti-Israel diatribe by one of their activists, which describes Israel as “settler-colonialism” and “apartheid” and says “Zionism is racism”. The IHRA definition of antisemitism gives as an example of antisemitism “Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavour.” i.e. the “Zionism is racism” phrase is prima facie antisemitic.
